About the Book
One Shade The More,
One Ray The Less
This is a collection of poetry reflecting on everything which makes your everyday.
In the 21st century your voice matters.
Feel your heartbeat in every word.
Every beat, a response to lyricism, questions answered-answers rewritten.
These words belong to me as much as you.
So hold them with care-cherish them until like embers, they fly away.
But remember, if they are branded in your soul,
Nothing can separate you both.
So come,
Don’t betray your heart.
The art behind poetry
The Oxford dictionary describes it as “literary work in which the expression of feelings and ideas is given intensity by the use of distinctive style and rhythm; poems collectively or as a genre of literature.”. I say it is much simpler. It is an uncensored thought or feeling written on paper. Unedited. The art of poetry is not for everyone. In an era dominated and driven by AI, originality is AI dredged in dozens of ZeroGPT humanize prompts.
True originality comes from trusting oneself, the simple leap which often means crossing the Alps of self-doubt and reaching the conclusion that what you have written is unique. The first in the world. Better than a million ZeroGPT humanize prompts. A hallmark of real poets is the element of true originality we talked about earlier but also knowing truly ‘humanizing’ your work means placing the reader there: allowing the world to unfurl. This means if for example, if there is an earthquake in the fictional world, the tremors should reverberate in reality. The irony is that AI humanizes something; the fact that deluge of imagination is to be confined in a single drop of binary; we are instinctively creatively. There are over 7000 languages globally and in each is a world of myth and magic waiting to open. To be realized. Languages are described as ‘barriers’ however the true ‘barrier’ is not in understanding but in acceptance. Humanity does not need a language to unite us—it needs us to be human.
Poetry is not something you need years to study and analyze, granted it gives a plethora of perspectives, for first timers, it’s a world waiting to be opened by the slightest gust of imagination. It is universal. I hope in my collection “One shade the more one ray the less”, I have scratched the surface. That is not to say, writing takes years to master. Sometimes the best lyric or work is written in the shortest time—I call this ‘The Autopilot Writer’, where feelings cannot be tarnished by Time, only resounded in the hearts and minds of fellow people whether they be poet or mortal.
I hope my book embodies hallmarks of true poets. If this interested you, please click on the link to buy my copy of ‘One shade the more, one ray the less’
